Ky-expo

What a great event at the Unlimited Off Road Expo in Louisville. Last weekend vendors, off road racers, and many enthusiasts alike traveled from all around the country to Louisville, Ky to unite. At this inaugural expo everyone could explore the best names in off road with a variety of products and vehicles on display. It all came together to create a unique and inspiring spectacle for all who attended.

Axel Stammel, and Erin Freemen were among a few fellow talented enthusiasts who put the whole event together. Axel explained that they felt that we as a collective group would appreciate an off road Motorsports event here on the East Coast. With hungry enthusiasts, and the proper demographics it all made sense. The UORE Team pulled it off in a spectacular way.

SFWDA was represented by Ray Stanley, Flint Holbrook, and Walter Shafer on Friday for their business day to meet with industry vendors and operators directly. Ray Staney, President SFWDA led a discussion about the challenges and obstacles we face today as an organization. The vendors attending were pleased to have contact with a link to users of their products. During this opportunity we connected with a new 4x4 OHV park as well as new clubs in our region, and even top brand reps interested in our mission. In fact there are a variety of new developments already underway from the success of this event which we hope will benefit Southern members directly here in the near future. More details will be coming as things evolve, but keep an eye out for more details to follow.

"Very productive day one with links to some new dirt, some media exposure and re-entering the Alabama club scene."   - Ray Stanley

In addition to all the great people we met at the show, we watched as top drivers put on a show that was one of a kind. Some may argue the best part was the first time ever Rock Bouncer back flip! No matter what your flavor, from side by sides to Mega Trucks, and Ultra 4's alike, no one held back while they raced around the track pulling air over tabletops and standing on two wheels racing around the corners.

Word is they already booked next year at the same location with dates to be released soon. So, if you missed it this year be sure to join us next year up in KY for the 2015 Expo. It's sure to be a hit!
