2019 SFWDA Annual Meeting
December 7, 2019
Double Tree, Oak Ridge, Tn
Numerous members followed the meeting via in person, online video or phoned in.
Gary Parsons opened meeting with morning prayer.

2019 Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway- Jeffrey Dozier
In 2020 looking to form a DBBB committee to stay on top of maintenance of DBBB.
11mile extension of Byway to direct traffic towards urban and business area.
Mountain Springs Lawsuit update: they want to set a trial date. Landowners do not appear to want to agree to the settlement agreement. Road has been open since the lawsuit has been filed. Two of the three parties are currently in agreement.

2019 Coalmont OHV Park Updates- Roger Theurer
City of Coalmont awarded a TN Motorized RTP Grant and purchased 1347 acres along with a TN RTP Construction Grant around $500K with a 80%/20% Cost Share Provisions
State of TN approved COP construction plans on November 5, 2019
One issue with grant, State will not allow us to make any provisions of a pavilion, any camp hook ups or trail construction with the grant money.

Georgia Bounty Runners have adopted that trail for approximately 25 years
GA RTP Grants are complete and used left over grant funds to rework New trail on 93C North of Nicholson Gap,
March and October work weekends totaling more than 500 man hours
2019 Uwharrie National Forest Updates - Bo Rosa
Fees are increasing, phased in over a four-year span
Forest services are looking into Dickie Bell and Daniel Lake View trails.

area in the CA Desert.

In spring SFWDA taught a Tread Lightly Training Class to about
22 members of the American Jeep Club Project.
All received their Tread Lightly Completion Certificate.
