Dennis Woods talks with us about what you should and should not do when lifting or building your rig.

Season 1 Episode 16

On this episode of Tech Net LIVE we catch up with Dennis Wood of TERAFLEX. Dennis is quite a personality, and perhaps a bit of a off-road industry celebrity. Here’s what he suggested we cover, and anytime Dennis shares his Jeep and suspension experience with the world there’s sure to gems of knowledge involved.

In fact if you plan ahead well you can actually save a ton of money on your build project by eliminating replacement parts you will only use for a short time before you upgrade again. So your topic for the week is;

“What to consider and avoid when building / lifting your Jeep.

1) why did you buy a jeep? ( Meet chicks, commute, beach, trails/camping, rock crawling ….)

2) how will you be using the Jeep… daily driver, combination on offroad, long commutes, trailer rig crawler…..

3) budget…. The lift is just a small part of the $ layaout.. tires wheels, winch, gears, axles…….

4) tire size. Determines lift height, and impacts the budget big time..

5) ramifications of tire size gas, gears, lift, flares, legal?, highway manners, cost

6) use determines what is required for accessories.

7) overlander build

8) crawler rig

9) beach cruiser

10) the best way to build your Jeep… depends on how you plan to use it, always upgradable, but do it once do it right is a way to save money.

11) examples of some of my builds…JK’s with 6.4 hemi conversions, YJ crawler, 2 door JL, overland JK, LJ on 42’s and a 6.2 LS… and why” ?

That and lots more along with your questions LIVE on Facebook video and interactive through the comments section.
