It is with great pride we announce our 2020-2022 Board of Directors for your Southern Four Wheel Drive Association. SFWDA is comprised of 100% volunteers and our leadership team spend a tremendous amount of time behind the scenes planning and organizing to make SFWDA the best it can be, especially our Board of Directors each serving a 2 year term. So, one small favor if I may; If you ever see these folks out on the trail or working during an event please, take a moment to stop them and say Thank You! These jobs are often underestimated and rarely commended but highly deserving of thanks.

In fact we are all currently deep in planning of Trailfest 17 now at Hawk Pride. We hope that ALL of you come out to join us at this great park. Before that though we are still seeking a venue for our Spring / Summer Meet n Ride which is being diverted from Uwharrie. If you have a park or destination in mind and know it well enough to lead a group please contact us directly. We’d like to keep these informal type events. They’ve proven to be a great way to discover new places and people together the SFWDA way.

There is always lots more to do and when it comes to volunteers, the more the merrier. So, if you have a little spare time to help support a non-profit stewardship organization who fights for public rights off road then please contact us today. There are many important positions which do not require a full commitment.

Congratulations to all 3 of our newly elected Board of Directors joining the SFWDA Team!

Welcome our three newly appointed Board of Directors.

This past Saturday during our Annual Meeting we conducted elections for four BOD positions due for turnover under the SFWDA leadership bylaws.

We were fortunate to have three well qualified candidates express interest.  After the formal voting process we have appointed each of these newly elected representatives to an Assistant Position for this first 2 year period,  at which time they will each assume the Directors role of each respective position.

Those three positions were each filled with existing SFWDA members, while some are new and and some have been around for decades, they all have a deep passion and commitment to supporting the core mission of SFWDA; COnservation * Education * Recreation.

Welcome our new Board of Directors

  • President -  open needs fulfilled before 2020 elections

  • Treasurer -  newly appointed "Assistant Treasurer"
         - K
    im Spangler Mcgee

"Assistant Director Conservation and Land Use"
         - Robert Parmer

  • Director of Membership - newly appointed

If you get a chance please take a moment to Thanks and Congratulate these folks. They have taken a leap forward and a rewarding commitment to support a regional non-profit off road stewardship organization. Their efforts and actions over the next 2-4 years will have a direct impact in our community.

From all of us here at SFWDA, and to all of our BOD, Leadership, and Volunteers.
